Offender groupsEnding The Violence offers domestic and sexual violence education programs for offenders. As the name implies, these programs are education, not therapy, marital counseling, substance abuse treatment or medical services.
These programs are designed to offer education regarding ways that men and women can get their needs met so that they do not cause harm to themselves or others. They are designed to assist people in coming up with ways to feel more in control of their own lives without feeling the need to control or dominate others. Currently, we offer the following types of groups: Men's domestic violence group Women's domestic violence group Men's VIP (Violence Intervention Program -- for non-intimate partner aggression) Men's sexual offender group These groups include people who are referred by the courts, probation, employers, child protective services, therapists, family members and others. Self referrals are also accepted. While many of our referrals are involved in the legal system, such involvement is not necessary. Since these are educational services (i.e., not therapy, counseling or medical services), health insurance will not cover them. Instead, we operate on a sliding fee schedule, based on income and family size. For more information about any of these programs send us an e-mail or call us at our office at (603) 988-5356. |
